Bella Beauxlynn Dandrea

Bella Beauxlynn Dandrea (She/They) is a multi-disiplanary artist based currently in Ithaca, New York. Born and raised upstate in Rochester NY, she got her start participating in NYSSMA Solo Festivals, All County Choruses, and competed in the National Level of the National Shakespeare Competition in the 2020 year. In 2022 she moved to Ithaca to pursue a Bachelors in Music in Voice with an Outside Field in Theatre Arts at Ithaca College’s School for Music, Theatre, and Dance. She studied in the vocal studios of Dr. Jean Bernard Cerin and later Dr. Ju Hyeon Han, where she honed her abilities both in classical performance and musical theatre. During her time in school, Bella shot over 15 student, thesis, and feature length films, and performed on stage in well over a dozen separate opera, musical, and theatre productions, making a name for herself in the Ithaca community in the process. Behind the curtain and the camera, Bella has also acted as a Production Assistant, Producer, Dramaturg, Playwright, Costume Designer, Dresser, Hair and Makeup Artist, and Stage Hand in a variety of film and stage productions. 

 

In 2025 she made her over seas debut, performing at the famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Los Angeles Theatre Initiative’s  ‘Guns in Dragonland’ as the roles of Breeze and Jason, the roles notably contrasting and equally devastating. Later in that same year she performed with Melodramatic Theatre Ensemble’s production of ‘Sweeney Todd’ as Johanna, a production that was a record breaking success for the company. In February of 2026 she completed a short run of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ as Benvolio with Dead Playwright’s Players, in which she performed in her wheelchair as an ambulatory user, a first for the company. Bella is very outspoken about life as a performer with a physical disability, and aims to raise awareness for accessibility in theatre, opera, and all performance arts. 

At the end of her college career in April 2026, she joined the chorus of Tri Cities Opera in Binghamton in their performance of ‘La Traviata’. 

 

In the summer of 2025, Bella spent her time at Interlochen Arts Camp as a Camp Life Counselor in the Highschool Division, and now joins them as a Musical Theatre Teaching Assistant/Arts Camp Counselor for their 2026 season. Bella is very passionate about spreading her love of the arts and performing to students of all ages, to whom she encourages exploration, personal growth, and a classroom culture full of support for all. As a performer and educator with a disability, she is especially passionate about accessablity of the arts, and aims to make active steps in encouraging this in her teaching and personal practices.

When Bella is not in the theatre, on set, or in the classroom, she can be found crocheting, knitting, reading, joking and laughing with her friends, playing with her camera and taking pictures, or asking dog walkers she passes by if she can pet their dogs.
